Origami is incredibly intriguing to me because of how simple folding and creasing could turn a 2-dimensional object into a 3-dimensioal figure taking on an intricate shape. These paper foldings exhibit various geometries and axes through the creasing of the edges that form their shape. Origami can be intergraded into the design process almost effortlessly because of the small steps one must take to achieve a grand goal. Every crease and every fold is well thought out and well placed as it's placement is incredibly important to the form of the finished product. Folding paper is a very simple task but this very simple task can easily be the starting point for a study model of a building. Simple bending and folding of paper can spark an idea that leads to an architectural movement.
