Typology to Cartography

Paula Scher is one of the most influential and most talked about graphic designers of the era - with designs dominating the media and companies all over the market. Scher is incredibly knowledgable in typology and it becomes exceedingly evident with her map making. She uses words to give these spaces an entirely new feeling which dramatically effects the overall outlook of the location as a whole. Through carefully placed typology, cartography becomes a collage of letters and words.
